Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the hard nose on some of these plush toys may detach, posing a choking risk to young children.       As of December 4, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or elsewhere.

The space between the bars on the back of the step stool pose an entrapment hazard, where a child's head can get stuck. As of December 3, 2024, the company has received one report of a child’s head becoming entrapped in the bars of the product in Canada.

The recalled power bank may overheat in some circumstances due to a manufacturing defect of the lithium-ion battery, posing a potential fire hazard. As of October 31, 2024, the company has received no report of incidents or injuries in Canada or in the United States.

Children's balloon blowing kits are banned in Canada. The safety concern is that blowing the balloons exposes a child to inhaling the vapours of any solvents present. If children blow this type of solvent containing balloon for extended periods, they may experience early symptoms of central nervous system depression or dysfunction, including euphoria, hallucinations, dizziness and difficulties with coordination of voluntary movements. Prolonged exposure can lead to more serious symptoms including muscular twitching, unconsciousness and coma.

The recalled products do not meet the labelling requirements for vaping products as required by the Vaping Products Labelling and Packaging Regulations under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. Vaping substances containing nicotine present a poisoning risk if they are ingested. Inappropriate labelling can lead to unintentional exposure to the product and cause serious illness or injuries, including death. As of November 22, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

During random testing of the product, two samples were found to be non-compliant with the retention system requirements set forth in FMVSS No. 218, posing a physical hazard to the user. As of November 14, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
