Health Canada warns that Baby car seat for infants and toddlers, available on Amazon.ca may pose a risk of injury

Health Canada has determined that the use of these restraints in a motor vehicle could increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision. Additionally, these products do not display Transport Canada's National Safety Mark and therefore have not been certified to meet the safety requirements of the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations. The use of these restraints in a motor vehicle would be considered illegal under provincial and territorial highway regulations.

Children's balloon blowing kits are banned in Canada. The safety concern is that blowing the balloons exposes a child to inhaling the vapours of any solvents present. If children blow this type of solvent containing balloon for extended periods, they may experience early symptoms of central nervous system depression or dysfunction, including euphoria, hallucinations, dizziness and difficulties with coordination of voluntary movements. Prolonged exposure can lead to more serious symptoms including muscular twitching, unconsciousness and coma.

The hard plastic nose on these plush toys can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.  As of November 18, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

The front cover on the night light can easily be removed, exposing the live prongs inside the product that remain plugged into the outlet, posing a serious risk of electrical shock.

Tests have allowed Health Canada to note that small parts can detach from the toy, thus posing a choking risk for young children.
